SCOOP on Davis: Charming Culpeper Ice Cream Shop with Vegan & Gluten-Free Options

This place is a quiet little ice cream shop in Culpeper's historic downtown. The ice cream is advertised as Giffords, which is an old school brand from my (long ago) youth. It’s delicious- second only to that of the Ole Country Store, but this place is open until 9PM. The staff was great, and very helpful. It’s worth checking out.

As a girly with food allergies there’s hardly ever an option for me. Scoop on Davis not only had one vegan option, they had 6. And 4 of those options were also gluten free! I got a scoop of vegan, gluten free caramel and a scoop of vegan, gluten free coffee ice cream! It was amazing and such a treat! 10/10 recommend and 10/10 I will be back!!

This little ice cream shop is in the back of poppy and chalk. They are super friendly and give you sample spoons to ensure you get the flavor you want. They also offer pup cups for that canine treaty. I recommend people go check out this hidden little gem. Btw the toasted coconut is to die for. While there give some love to Poppy and Chalk cuz they have a lot to offer and are super cute!

If you love Ice cream , definitely make your way to SCOOP on Davis. This is one of the most welcoming ice cream shops I have ever been in. And for those who are experiencing the cold this winter don't fret because this place makes amazing Hot chocolate as well. The owner of this shop is one of the kindest people I have ever met, she makes you feel right at home. My favorite ice cream here is the black raspberry , I also enjoy the toasted coconut as well. The peppermint hot chocolate has been a huge hit for me and the owner even has dairy free options if anyone has any lactose intolerance. My best friend and I love coming in here and we also have frequently stayed to enjoy some of the board games. This place really is a treasure !!!

Excellent hand scooped ice cream in Culpeper, VA! Great location and the owner (Mindel) is such a pleasure to speak with! The shop also sells candy and drinks too! Conveniently located on Davis street with plenty of shops/restaurants within walking distance. Samples are offered if you are unsure of your flavor but the s’mores is my favorite! Nondairy options are also available!

My FAVORITE ice cream shop! Owner and staff are always excellent and nice. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors, other tasty treats, drinks, nick nacks, fun earrings, books, and so much more! My absolute favorite ice cream flavor is the toasted coconut but there are many other amazing options! They even have fun games at the tables inside to play freely while enjoying treats. I highly recommend this stop in downtown Culpepers East Davis Street! Look for the large ice cream signs and smiling faces!

As an ice cream lover, I was excited to see the adorable ice cream shop Scoop On Davis in historic downtown Culpeper. As a Mainer, I was excited to learn that they serve Giffords of Maine ice cream! Delicious ice cream, a super cute shop and delightfully friendly staff (they'll even offer to take your photo enjoying some ice cream if you ask nicely). Definitely stop in for delicious ice cream if you're in town.

This little ice cream shop, nestled in the back of Poppy Chalk, has some delicious ice cream and a nice touch of charm. The staff are quite friendly and ready to serve. The ice cream & cones are not prepared on site. The ice cream is Gifford's Premium, out of Maine, a 100 year old ice cream legacy. The Choco Taco had some nice bits of chocolate and waffle cone mixed in a vanilla ice cream base. The Caramel Cold Brew was probably a little better, a nice blend of coffee ice cream with caramel swirled throughout. The toasted coconut, with nice chunks of coconut, paired very well with the Bourbon On the Rocks. Both were pretty flavorful. Serving sizes were a little skimpy, but all in all, a nice place.
